Why I'm Starting This Blog

After more than 20 years in the financial planning profession, I've realized that some of the most important conversations I have with clients aren't really about investments.

They're about life.

They're about retirement, family, uncertainty, generosity, health, purpose, and the hope of leaving the next generation better off than the one before.

Many people assume a wealth advisor's job is to recommend investments or build portfolios. While those are certainly important, they are only part of the picture. Behind every financial decision is a person, a family, a story, and often, difficult choices.

Over the years, I've been fortunate to walk alongside clients through career changes, business sales, retirement, the loss of loved ones, inheritances, and the arrival of grandchildren. Each experience has reminded me that financial planning is ultimately about helping people make confident decisions during life's most important moments.

That's why I decided to start this blog.

My goal isn't to predict the stock market or provide sensational headlines. There is already an endless supply of financial news available every day. Instead, I want to share practical insights that help people better understand the decisions they face and the opportunities they may not know exist.

Some articles will explain tax and retirement strategies in plain language. Others will discuss estate planning, investing, or common financial mistakes. Occasionally, I'll share stories from my experience (while always protecting client confidentiality) because I believe real-life situations often teach us the most.

I'll also write about the principles that guide my work.

At Grace Wealth, we use what I call the Magnolia Method. Like a magnolia tree, strong financial health starts with healthy roots, grows through every season of life, and is built to support future generations. It reminds us to look beyond individual investments and instead see the complete financial picture.

If this blog helps even one person make a better financial decision, ask an important question, or approach retirement with greater confidence, then it will have accomplished its purpose.

Thank you for taking the time to read my first post. I look forward to sharing this journey with you and hope you'll find these articles informative, practical, and worth coming back to.

Welcome to the Grace Wealth blog.
